Lolita Coley was born on May 10th, 1963, in Washington, DC and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on November 4th, 2021, in Severn, MD. Lolita graduated from Oakland Mills High School in Columbia, MD in May 1981. Upon graduation, Lolita started her career with the Department of Defense and continued her career over the last 40 years. To further her education, Lolita obtained a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Maryland.


In 1984, Lolita was united in Holy matrimony with Bobbie Marshall and together they birthed one child, Daryl Anthony Marshall. Lolita was a loving, caring, humble, and supportive person who was always there for her family and friends. Lolita was full of good spirits and a person that you could always call. Lolita loved to travel and see the world. She traveled to Dubai, Japan, Kuwait, Iraq, Afghanistan, Qatar, and many more. Lolita also loved to vacation with her family, have cookouts with her family and friends, and plan birthday celebrations for her grandchildren. Lolita enjoyed reading novels of all genres, watching movies, and loved blasting music including Go-go and R&B. Lolita also enjoyed cooking and baking homemade cakes and pies for her family during the holidays.


Lolita will be dearly missed, and her legacy will live on forever. She is preceded by her parents, Eugene and Sadie Coley. She is survived by her son, Daryl. Three grandchildren: Lauryn, Jaedah, and DJ. Four siblings: Violet, Eugene, Larickus, and Wanda. Two Nieces: Dominique and Justice. Two Nephews: Larickus Jr and Derek. Two Aunts: Peggy and Ethelene. As well as a host of relatives and friends.
